Mission Statement
Citizens for Healthy Growth is an organization of city, county, and Metroplex residents that promotes beneficial growth and development in Denton by encouraging the assessment of health issues and zoning regulations that pose risks to the environmental well being of the community. CHG is Denton's only community-based organization solely dedicated to promoting and protecting our right to a clean and safe environment.
Citizens for Healthy Growth promotes informed discussion and objective research about current and future economic and environmental issues affecting the area's residents. A community can and must be pro-health and pro-quality of life without being anti-business and anti-growth. Change is possible without environmental degradation and harm to the public health both now and in the future.
Citizens for Healthy Growth is a non-profit, volunteer organization and relies upon public support to finance its informational, educational, and legal activities.
